The Air Mobility Capability Assurance Program was formed by combining three different Capability Assurance Programs for the Air Mobility Fleet into a single program with multiple focused tranches required to support the ongoing capability upgrades of the Air Mobility Fleet (KC-30A, C-27J, C-17A, and C-130J). Praxis Aerospace provided significant support to Air Force Headquarters, ATS Branch and HALSPO in development of the pre Gate 0 strategy and business case and has continued to provide support in the planning and execution of Tranche 1.
What We Did:
- Developed the initial Program Joint Capability Needs Statement
- Developed the Program Integrating Operational Concept Document
- Development of the initial Business case
- Development of the Output Spec for KC-30A Tranche 1 upgrades
- Development of ASDEFCON Complex Vol 2 Contract for aircraft modification – Statement of Work, Contract Deliverable Requirements List, Data Item Descriptors
- Development of Project Documents – Acquisition Safety Airworthiness Management Plan, Test and Evaluation Management Plan, Project Management Plan, Security Classification and Categorisation Guide
- Review of Contract Deliverables from OEM
- Engagement with regulatory and subject matter expert agencies across Department of Defence
- Support to various AMCAP Gates
Outcomes:
- Development of JCNS, PIOCD and Business Case for AMCAP
- Development of SOW for Tranche 1 risk reduction work scope
- Airbus DS on contract to complete KC-30A (MRTT) design development of Tranche 1 modifications
